Experience the forest with all your senses.
Slow your pace, listen to the rustle of the treetops and notice the small things you usually hurry past. During a guided forest bathing session, I offer simple invitations to explore nature. You choose what draws your attention and how you’d like to take part.
What is forest bathing?
Forest bathing is a way of spending time in a forest or another natural setting. What makes it distinctive is how we connect with our surroundings and the benefits this can bring. Like physical activity, a balanced diet and good sleep, it is intended to support our well-being. It offers time and space for mindful presence and connection with the environment and ourselves. It is for anyone who would like to enjoy time in nature while caring for their health and well-being.
Why?
-
A break from the rush
Set your to-do list aside for a while and give yourself time to be with what’s happening around you. Pause at a sound, a play of light or a scent that catches your attention.
-
A fresh way of seeing the world
Even a familiar forest can offer something new. Through guided invitations, explore details you may not have noticed before and discover what you’re drawn to in your connection with nature.
-
A memory to share
Invite your partner, friends or your own group. Spend time experiencing the forest together and sharing whatever you’d like with one another.
-
Your first steps with a guide
If you’re curious about this kind of experience but unsure how to begin, I’ll guide you through it. I take care of the structure and help keep the experience safe, leaving you time to explore your surroundings and yourself.
Where do we meet?
I lead forest bathing sessions at selected locations around Šenčur, Preddvor and Kranj, in Slovenia's Gorenjska region. We choose the setting to suit the experience and the needs of those taking part. If you have another place in mind, tell me about it and we can explore what’s possible.
What’s included?
-
A guided experience
You’ll be accompanied by a certified Forest Bathing Guide. Before we meet, we’ll agree on the arrangements. During the session, I’ll guide you through a sequence of activities and pauses.
-
Invitations to explore
We’ll listen to sounds, notice shapes and colours, and explore what our surroundings have to offer. The activities are simple, with plenty of room for your curiosity.
-
Space for silence
Our aim is to help you quiet your mind and open your senses to your surroundings. Your guide will speak sparingly, leaving plenty of space for your own connection with nature.
-
Health and preparation
Before the session, please share any worries or questions with your guide, along with any health conditions that could affect the safety and quality of your experience.
-
Take part in your own way
You can try, adapt or skip any invitation. When we talk, you choose what and how much you’d like to share. Silence is always welcome, too.
-
Attention to your needs
We choose the setting and plan the session with your wishes and needs in mind. Before your visit, we’ll talk about what would help you feel comfortable taking part.
How it goes
We walk slowly, pause along the way and allow plenty of time for each experience.
-
1. Before we meet
We agree on the place, date and duration. You tell me about your wishes and any mobility limitations, allergies or other needs I should consider when planning the session.
-
2. When you arrive
We get to know each other, I explain how the session will unfold, and we begin exploring the setting together. Gradually, we turn our attention to what we notice around us.
-
3. During the experience
At selected spots, I’ll invite you to listen, observe and explore through your senses in other ways. There will be time to yourself, moments of silence and opportunities to share your impressions.
-
4. Finishing up
We take time to share final impressions and talk, bring the experience to a close together, and return to our starting point. We say goodbye, taking with us a fond memory of our time in nature.

You already have everything you need.
To experience nature, all you need is your body, a little attention and a willingness to make time for connection. Our senses are our main tools for connecting with nature; everything else simply supports the experience. Before we meet, your guide will let you know what else to bring and how to prepare for the season and weather. Sessions can take place in a wide range of conditions.
